Home

You will move to a wonderful new home within the year.

I'll be interested to see how this fortune comes true. If it is true the family has a lot of work to do between now and the end of the year. Or is "home" a metaphor?

Drive By Truckers and Ryan Bingham

I caught an old recorded episode of Austin City Limits, featuring the Drive By Truckers and Ryan Bingham. If you like Tom Petty and Bob Dylan combined with a little modern flare from the Wallflowers then you'll love the sound of both bands. More information on these bands can be found at their official Web sites.

Chris' Career Ambitions

I thought it would be interesting to document Chris' career ambitions.

  1. Coast Guard - September 2009.
  2. Astronaut - 4 years old until September 2009.
  3. Firefighter - since he could talk until about four.

Ability and Character

Ability will enable man to get to the top, but character will keep him from falling.

Labeled for Looks

I found another home brew mix jacket. This mix was compiled sometime during the Fall of 1989 and comes with an amusing story. I called this mix "Labeled for Looks" because I couldn't think of a name. My room mates went off somewhere without me and asked to borrow one of my tapes. Since, as Jim Tuttle points out in an earlier post, I mooched off of their music supply : ) I thought it only appropriate to loan my mix tape to them and their adventurous journey. When they returned one of them gave me hard time because I sent them off with the wrong tape...all because I had neglected to label my mixes. So the birth of a new mix "Labeled for Looks".

I don't remember why I didn't go along. Perhaps it was because I busy studying. I had to study a lot in college. Or perhaps they, being engineers, were embarrassed to go or be seen anywhere with a management major. Know one will ever know why I didn't go. And we may never know where they went. But, here is the mix manifest.
